Step five involves integrating the programme into the curriculum, either directly through science, civics and environmental classes or indirectly in other subject areas through innovative teaching.
Materials (theme books) are provided by An Taisce to help integrate the programme into the curriculum. However, schools often come up with their own innovative educational approaches. Direct curriculum links at primary school level are apparent within the Environmental Care & Awareness Strand of Social, Environmental & Scientific Education (SESE). At secondary level the direct link is with Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE).
