Repak and the Green-Schools Office of An Taisce invited schools that had recently received Green Flag to take part in the Repak Recycling School of the Year Competition 2009. To enter schools were asked to write a short report outlining their ideas they would use to create a multi-media guide for the 7 steps of Green-Schools for the Litter & Waste Theme.
Would they use a video, a DVD or a website or did they have any other ideas? They didn’t have to produce anything just outline the idea. The chosen school would see their idea developed over the coming school year with support from the Green-Schools Office of An Taisce and Repak. The schools ideas would be showcased as a best practice example, and the guide could be used by schools all over the world who are trying to get a Green Flag!
