Green-Schools, known internationally as Eco-Schools, is an international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.

Eco-Schools is operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) whose main partners include the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Cycle Train to Rockfield National School

Students from Rockfield National School in Coolaney, Co. Sligo cycled en masse to school last week following a successful WOW launch earlier this year and completed courses in cycle training.

St Columba's College is a 900-pupil secondary school in Stranorlar, Co. Donegal. The majority of pupils travel to school on bus from rural areas. However those parents who are driving their children to school are causing traffic chaos on the avenue leading to the school each morning.
