Green-Schools, known internationally as Eco-Schools, is an international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.

Eco-Schools is operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) whose main partners include the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Green-Schools,, Musgrave and Belvedere College collaborate to highlight road safety issues around large trucks

Green-Schools, Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland, Belvedere College and, the Irish cycling advocacy network, held a demonstration to highlight dangers of “blind zones” around Heavy Goods Vehicles(HGVs) for students at the Belvedere Sports Grounds on the Navan Road on Thursday, April 16th.

St. Oliver Plunkett's NS perform at Water Forum

St. Oliver Plunkett's NS, Blackcastle, Navan, Co. Meath hosted a Green-Schools Water Forum in their school on Friday, February 27th 2015. On the day the school, who have already achieved their Green Flag for Water, performed The Precipiation Song and The Rain Shower, to the delight of the attending schools.
